A New Orleans native, Irving Riley, DDS, MPH, is skilled in the treatment of facial trauma, jaw injuries, and deformities and abnormalities of the cheeks, jaw, mouth and face. A board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Riley holds a bachelor’s degree from Dillard University in New Orleans and Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. In addition he holds a master’s degree in public health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Topical Medicine located in New Orleans.
Dr. Riley has over 40 years of clinical experience and has also served as an associate professor in the Oral and Maxillofacial Department at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. His love of teaching young dental professionals has led him to instruct students at several hospitals in the area.
In addition, Dr. Riley has served leadership positions in several professional and civic organizations including dental director for Fulton County, Georgia, the Detroit Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and plenty more.
